My career choices have always followed my passion for music, hospitality, and travel. After completing three decades in music education and the restaurant business, my encore career in travel and tourism has evolved from sweet dreams to reality!

Travel has always been a passion of mine and I have had the pleasure of traveling extensively throughout this amazing world! My travels have taken me to many countries in South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Before retiring from teaching, I studied with Travel Leaders of Tomorrow and became a travel advisor and started my own travel business K Travels, LLC which has been growing ever since. My travel experiences allow me to plan once-in-a-lifetime vacations for my clients. I take great pride in thoroughly researching a destination, paying attention to details, and providing excellent customer service. One of my travel passions is group travel. Group travel provides opportunities to share experiences, make new friends, and provides security for the solo traveler. Be on the look out for my hosted trips where everyone is encouraged to join in on the fun!

After retiring, I became an ITMI certified tour director/guide. I have had the pleasure of creating customized itineraries for day trips and multi-day trips and leading small groups of students, adults, and families in and around Maryland and the Washington D.C. metro area.
